Summer Reading Program – “Libraries Rock”
Starting on June 1st
For all ages

Storywalk™
Enjoy a family activity while reading and walking.
Walk on our Storywalk™ route along the walking trail
at the YMCA. Read the story, get some exercise and have fun!

Family Nights
Bring the family and enjoy some fun activities.
Mondays June 4, 11, 25 and July 9, 16, and 23
5:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required for the craft nights.

Story Times
Tuesdays June 5, 12, 19 and 26
Toddler Time (Ages 2&3) at 10:30 a.m.
Preschool Story Time (Ages 4&5) at 11:30 a.m.
Pre-registration is required for story times.

Music with Mr. Davis
Join us on Friday mornings in June (8, 15, 22, and 29) for
this fun and lively program for children ages 5 and under.
10:30 a.m.
No registration is needed.
Parents must attend with their child.

Crafty Creations
Join us on Friday mornings in June (8, 15, 22 and 29).
For children entering grades K-5.
10:30 a.m.
No registration is needed, but supplies
are limited to the first 20 kids.

Wednesday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the library

Ghost Walk/History Walk
Thursday, June 14th at 2:00 p.m.
Grades 6-12
Join us on a walk around the downtown Salem area.
We will take you back through time, when the
town was new and the history was wild.
We will hear stories and look for landmarks in the downtown area.

At the Bradie Shrum Elementary Gym
This program is for all ages.

Hardy Lake Raptor Rehab Center

Tuesday, June 26th at 2:00 p.m.
Join us at the library when staff from the
Dwight Chamberlain Raptor Center will be here to show
us birds of prey that are being rehabilitated at the center.
This program is for grades K and up.

Pirates Rock!
Wednesday, June 27th at 2:00 p.m.
Join us for a Treasure Hunt at the shelter house
on the Community Walking Trail behind the Salem Middle School.

We are going to be making a cool craft with some old LP’s.

Fairy Houses Rock!
Tuesday, July 10th at 2:00 p.m.
Meet us at the shelter house at Lake Salinda and
make a beautiful Fairy house or Gnome house!
All supplies provided and we will take a walk and
look for more items to put on our houses.
