Preschool Programs and Activities: Ages 2-5 and Kindergarten

Unearth a Story. June Pre-School Storytime. Ages 2-5 and entering Kindergarten. Dinosaur Fun! Your child will have fun with stories, songs, and more. Session on Tuesday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 10 at 10:30 am. Sign up for only one session of Storytime. Pre-Registration is required to attend. Unearth a Story. July Pre-School Storytime. Ages 2-5 and entering Kindergarten. Celebrate America's 250th. Your child will have fun with stories, songs, crafts, and more. Sessions on Tuesday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. Sign up for only one session of Storytime. Pre-registration is required to attend. School Age Programs and Activities: Grades 1-5

Note: The Falls of the Ohio program is located at the library.

Unearth a Story. School-Age Craft Program. This program is for children entering grades 1-5. Crafts will be held at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm on the following Mondays. June 8-Dinosaur Silhouette. June 29-Petroglyphs. Children may sign up for only one time slot per craft. Pre-registration is required to attend. To register your child, call the library at 812-883-5600.
Falls of the Ohio. Fossil Discovery Lab. This program is for children entering grades K-2. Monday, June 22 at 10:30 am. Children will be introduced to fossils, shown how to identify them, and educated on how the Devonian sea compares to today. Pre-registration is required to attend. Unearth a Story. School-Age Activity. Fossil Dig. This program is for children entering grades 3-5. Monday, June 22 at 2:30 pm. Pre-registration is required to attend. To register your child, call the library at 812-883-5600.
Unearth a Story. School-Age Activity. Ancient Egyptian papyrus and hieroglyphics. This program is for children entering grades 1-5. Monday, July 13 at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. Children may sign up of only one time slot. Pre-registration is required to attend. To register your child, call the library at 812-883-5600.

Wanted. This gang of dinosaurs has escaped. Help us capture then. Last seen in the Children's Department. Pictured are six dinosaurs of varying species and colors along with their names. Big Ernie a gray Spinosaurus. Rex a red T-Rex. Spike a gray Triceratops. Tank a blue Stegosaurus. Stretch a green Brontosaurus. Tiny Pete a yellow Pteranodon. If you find one, do not try to capture it. Instead, report it to the nearest Children's Librarian. REWARD. Starting the second week of June, come into the library to find the featured Dino of the Week until we have captured all six!
Teen Programs and Activities: Grades 6-12

June Adult Craft Program. Stamped Clay Pottery. Thursday, June 18 at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. Sign up in the Adult Department. Sign up for one session only.
July Adult Craft Program. America's 250th Decoration. Thursday, July 16 at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. Sign up in the Adult Department. Sign up for one session only.
All library programs are on a first come, first serve basis. Children should dress appropriately for craft programs. The library is not responsible for damage to clothing. The library is not responsible for items lost or left in the building. All children 8 and under must have a responsible adult over 18 present at all times for all programs on or off site.
